C J ROYLE

C J Royle is an emerging author of crime and thriller novels.

A Yorkshire man through and through (strong in’t arm and all that), he was born and raised in Sheffield before moving to Scotland to study French and German at the University of St Andrews, where he learned to behave and (almost) stopped saying “nowt”. During his studies, he spent a year dodging snowstorms and perfecting his Québécois as an English Language Assistant based in Beauceville, Québec.

He has had a varied career and, since leaving the seaside behind, has settled in South Oxfordshire. His time in the public sector influences his writing, which is usually set in and around South and North Yorkshire.
